Gratitude and Transition
We wanted to share a big ending and preview some exciting new beginnings.
After 27 years of meaningful work, the four of us have decided to wind down Grassroots Solutions at the end of this year. It’s been an amazing run, and we are filled with gratitude for everyone who worked at the firm and for the clients and partners who supported our nearly three-decade adventure. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
When Dan and Robert founded the company in 1999, Grassroots Solutions was one of the first progressive engagement strategy and evaluation firms in the country. Since then, Grassroots Solutions has embraced learning and organizing as potent tools for transformative change, partnering with philanthropic, electoral, nonprofit, and advocacy organizations in the U.S. and abroad. Our team has designed, run, or evaluated hundreds of campaigns and programs to build healthier, more just and equitable communities. But, more than anything else, we are proud of the people who spent part of their careers with us and the impact they’ve had far beyond the firm.
Our decision reflects that we, as owners, are each in different places in our lives with different priorities. We remain committed to finishing our current projects with care and to supporting our amazing team who are unexpectedly pursuing what’s next. Some are launching new ventures, others are looking for their next role. If you or someone you know is looking for that rare combination of good people and remarkable talent, please reach out to us individually or send leads to jobs@grassrootssolutions.com.
Rather than one successor, it feels fitting that several new practices and firms will grow from our closing. Those plans are already taking shape, and we’ll share more as they are finalized.
We remain humbled and honored by the work, the victories and learning we supported, and the people we did it with. Once our team is settled, we plan to celebrate 27 years with our clients, friends, and colleagues. More on that to come.
At Grassroots Solutions, we don’t really say goodbye. We say, “see you soon.” Thank you for being fellow travelers on this incredible journey. We’ll see you soon.
In solidarity, and with deep gratitude,
Anne, Lindsay, Dan & Robert
Co-Owners, Grassroots Solutions
